Hello, my name is Dana Walery. I have lived in the Chicago land area all of my life and have been raised a huge blackhawks fan. When I have some free time I like to spend it cooking, crafting, running or spending time with friends and family. Since high school I have been working with children of all ages. I started babysitting my freshman year of high school and have continued ever since. I have had the expierence of taking care of children and have been responsible for their over all well-being. In the summers of 2010 and 2011 I had the opportonity to be a camp counslor leader for a special education recreation camp. At this job I was responsible for a group of high school students with special needs. I was responsible for these students on trips to the local pool, lincoln park zoo, shed aquirum, and field Read more muesum. I am now a special education teacher for CPS (chicago public schools) and am looking for a job for the summer. I recently graduated from Illinois State University where I logged over 200 clinical hours inside the classroom. Together in my classroom experiences I have learned to build rapport with children while building genuine, appropirate relationships. I specfically have 100 of the 200 clinical hours at a behavior interventiost alternative school. This is where I learned behavior management techniques that not only work in the school setting, but the home setting as well. I have learned how to use humor in everyday situations and incorporate fun whenever possible!
