I have had a long history in the childcare profession, beginning as a babysitter at the age of twelve and then nannying summers once I was done with highschool. Through my 11 years experience caring for children as a babysitter, a nanny, and a daycare teacher I have experienced a wide range of sibling/family dynamics with children with ages ranging between three months and twelve years old, though I have had a soft spot of Kindergarten age children ever since I did a month long internship in the Chicago Waldorf School's Early Childhood program. Being heavily involved in CWS's student ambassador program also gave me a unique understanding of the developmental stages that children go through and has left me equipped to handle pretty much anything your child can throw at me (hopefully not literally). Setting a kid in front of a television is not really my style, so with Read more me your child will do arts and crafts projects, drawing games, storytelling, puppet plays, and most importantly lots of free-play and outdoors time in order to enrich their imagination. I graduated from Lawrence University last spring and am currently working part time at a birth-age 3 daycare, and am looking for more a permenant position.
