Hi! I'm Tessa, I'm a 28 year old Nanny. I am currently living in Louisville Kentucky, but moving back to Chicago in May. Before moving to KY from Chicago I was with the same family(s) in a Nanny share for almost 2years. Two babies, one boy & one girl. I started when they were 3mo and 9mo. They were my world. We played games, went on field trips, play dates, did arts and crafts, sing, dance, read and learned together:) It's been the best job I've ever experienced. I have a BFA in Theatre and Liberal Arts from Stephens College in Columbia, MO. There I worked part-time in the pre-school that the college owned. I absolutely loved my job there and upon reflection of that being the last job I truly loved I really wanted to start Nannying. I am the oldest of three children. My youngest brother is 10yrs Read more younger than me. I like to think I played a major role in raising him. He's now a Freshman in College, an Honor Role Student and almost a real adult! I am very proud. I grew up in in-home day-care all my life. Even when I was "too old" I was still working in in-home daycare after school because they were friends of the family. I have experience working with all age-ranges from infants (changing diapers, bottle feeding, naps), toddlers (play-time, potty-training, and naps) and ages 5-15 (Supervision, activities and over-all character development) I am very familiar with food allergies and highly knowledgeable with celiac disease. I am Food Safety Certified through both the Chicago dept of Health and ServSafe. I am also CPR certified. I also have experience with cooking, cleaning, and pet care. If I were to secure a Nanny position with you, I would take great pride in my job. I would be a pillar of support while you are away. I had a very close relationship with my care-giver as a child, she taught me how to crochet, how to braid hair, how to bake quiche and to respect my elders. I want nothing more than to follow in her footsteps and be that person a child can look up to.
