Hello, I am a student working my way towards a degree in psychology. I find myself drawn to eastern philosophies and enjoy practicing yoga & meditation in my free time. I carry a natural affinity for art and have mastered the appreciation behind various cuisines. I find connecting with nature vital for our being, as it gives a grounding effect and an essential source of tranquility. For this, I make a consistent effort to spend time outdoors. My experience with children began at a early age, as I am the eldest of five. Taking this role as a mentor, protector, and nurturer gave me insight to my ability in relations to empathize with youth. As challenging as this pursuit may have sounded for a sixteen year old, I successfully kept calm and poised through this journey. My engagement included; assisting with homework, preparing meals, activities such as; athletic team practices and games, swimming, supervision over play dates, nature walks, and craft projects. My little pupils at the time were always exposed to lessons. In regards to maintaining personal hygienic habits, bedroom organization, fairness with others, and exercising communication skills. My Client, a full-time nurse appreciated this adeptness to know what was needed to preserve a nurturing atmosphere that promotes growth and well-being without the distraction of television. Later in my years I gained experience in retail sales, hospitality, marketing, and entrepreneurial endeavors. For the last two years, I became a part-time nanny for a adorable 8 year old girl named Klava; when she comes to visit her father (two weekends out of the month). I assist in entertaining when needed. We have been learning to play the guitar together and we enjoy picking up linguistic phrases. Her favored language at the moment is german. We have spent numerous amount of hours over the arts or nature. I hope I have fulfilled my expression and confidence with patience towards child care.
