Her profile was great and she seemed so nice over the phone….. but then canceled our next day “meet and greet” appointment at 2:30am in the morning over the course of 3 separate emails. In her defense, I did appreciate the fact she let us know it wasn't going to work for her. However, we were left very confused since she claimed our home was too far away. We live in the West Loop by the United Center. Her profile said she would travel up to 15 miles which is well within range to her zip code. Her profile also said she had her own transportation …..but then she said we did not have a close enough public train stop for her to feel okay walking from (which I agreed was not recommended due to surrounding rough areas) though we ourselves live in a wonderful neighborhood (that’s Chicago) We were left a bit disappointed as to the abrupt cancellation and sudden dis-interest after we planned meeting over 4 days ago. We may have caught her on an off day and we have no intentions of her not getting other work. I hope you have better luck and communication.

Wow! Rachelle is a wonderful sitter. She clearly adores children and was immediately engaging with our little girl -- who can be VERY shy. Rachelle broke straight through her shyness. While I was away she did art activities with our two year old and played. She fed her and put her down for a nap. Our home was tidy when we came home and Rachelle gave a fun and full account of her time with our little girl. She is a gem and anyone would be lucky to have her as a sitter or nanny.

Rachelle came very highly recommended by her references--- and they were right on! I needed a sitter for my 2 month old daughter several days a week. Rachelle was great with the baby, very respectful and hard-working, and a delight to work with. She's a super babysitter and surely a wonderful nanny for older kids too. Wish I could hire her as a nanny when I go back to work!
