My name is Virginia Weinmann. I am an energetic childcare professional with extensive experience caring for children of all ages. My experience includes watching and caring for multiple children at once, ranging in age from 6 months to 9 years. I am capable of planning, preparing, and serving healthy meals, bathing and dressing children, in addition to performing light house cleaning duties. I am also available to care for pets, including cats and dogs. When engaging children, I ensure they are playing age-appropriate games and reading a variety of books. Weather permitting, I make sure that those I am caring for are partaking in exercise and outdoor activities, such as going to parks, playgrounds, or trips to the zoo. I also like to work on art projects and play games with kids. I have experience working in childcare centers, including a mixed-age group (the 0-2 years old) room at a Read more local center. Some of my responsibilities included assisting the lead teacher, ensuring the safety of the children, cleaning up and organizing the classroom and equipment, and engaging the children in games and activities. I also have experience caring for children in my own home, as well as in the homes of my clients. I have taken many health and safety training courses, including CPR and First Aid. I also completed a Creative Activities for Children class. I continuously try to improve my childcare knowledge by taking classes and participating in trainings when able to. Besides my past childcare experience, I also worked at St. Anthony’s Health Center in Alton, IL, at the sanitization and food distribution stations. In this position, I learned more about sanitation and safe handling of food and thus gained the necessary background to prepare food in a healthy and sanitary manner for your children. I was also responsible for organizing the kitchen supplies and silverware at St. Anthony’s. I feel that being organized is a great strength of mine. I am excellent at following schedules and being on time. My career objective is to obtain a position in childcare and utilize my people skills and passion for working with children of all ages.
