I graduated with honors from Southern Illinois University Carbondale in December 2013 with a dual certification in Special Education and Elementary Education. I was extremely involved on campus as I held multiple positions in several different organizations. I have also completed over 300 hours of community service through SIUC. My passion has always been to work with children. I have worked with children for the past 6.5 years of my life. The children I have worked with age from 4 months to 17 years old. I am extremely comfortable with all ages and I have a great range of activities to do with all ages. I worked at an after school program for three years with grades kindergarten through second grade. I coordinated various art and crafts, intramural sports, and many other games for the children to play. I also helped young learners with their homework. I worked at a Read more daycare center for two years with children ages 1 to 5. I changed diapers, sang and danced with children, and read story books. I also worked as a summer camp counselor for 3 years. The job required 8 weeks of work, 5 days a week, for 7 hours a day. I worked with children ages 5 to 12. As a camp counselor, I planned several activities for my group of children to do daily. Last year, I had an amazing opportunity to nanny a 4 month old girl to the time she was 14 months old. I absolutely loved the experience.

We interviewed with Hanneh and decided after the interview that we were willing to make her an offer. We called her and she asked for two days to think about the offer, which we had no problem with. The two days went by and no word from Hanneh. We followed up in the evening of the second day by text message and did not receive a response to our text either. Finally, when we informed her the following day that we would like to give the position to someone else, she finally responded, saying that she had moved and had been too busy to respond. Very unprofessional, obviously not able to multitask and keep promises. Disappointing all around.
