Hello! My name is Jillian. I am a masters student at Lewis University currently getting my Masters in Special Education. I graduated in Speech Language and Hearing Sciences from San Diego State University in 2012. I have worked in school and private client settings. I've taught after school phonetics programs to K-2 struggling readers in San Diego for San Diego County Speech . We focused mainly on a sensory training approach to reading and spelling. I have also been a nanny for 2 years with the same family in Barrington until I moved permanently to Bucktown this past March to pursue my Masters degree. I have field experience in instructional settings for 4th, 6th, and 8th grade students with varying cognitive levels. I love kids, they are my life. I enjoy watching them succeed and grow with every year and being that person that helps them reach their goals.
