Hi, my name is Luz Gonzalez. I am a college student majoring in Nursing at Marquette University. I have 3 younger siblings 2 of which I have played a huge role in helping raise. I can speak 2 languages fluently, english and spanish, and I can also speak french, although not as fluently.  I volunteered at a local grammar school in the summer of 2008 and '09. The school had a summer school program and I was helping with the 3-4 year olds. My responsibilities was basically to just help out the the teachers in whatever they needed. I would play with the kids, take them to the bathroom, clean-up during their naptime/storytime, and there were a few times where I was in charge of the entire class (15-20 kids) while the teacher did a quick errand.  My mom has been a nanny for about 20 years now and there Read more have been a few occasions where I  have substituted for her since I was 13 years old. I also have two cousins who are going to be 5 years old in the fall. I have taken care of both together a few times. One of them, I took care of, full-time, at the end of summer 2012 for about 2 weeks. Her father dropped her off in the morning and picked her up in the evening. I fed her, entertained her, and kept her safe. While I was taking care of her, I was also looking after my siblings who were 12 and 10 at the time. My other cousin, I have taken care of full time as well. Since she is my goddaughter, she has come over many times and has even slept over for an extended amount of days. The most recent babysitting experience I have had was last summer (2013). I took care of a 14 month old baby and a 3 year old boy for the summer, full-time. Other job experiences I have had are caddying for the Evanston Golf Club and I also working in catering with Marquette University. I am looking for a summer job, since I will have to go back to school in the fall. Please contact me if interested!
