I am looking to nanny for a great family with fun and energetic kids. I am a 21 year old, senior in college with an academic scholarship, a 3.5 GPA and a reasonably flexible schedule. I have classes Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9:00 a.m. until noon, as well as Thursdays from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. Otherwise, I am available any time during the day. I'm extremely organized and responsible, but I love to have fun and be silly. I'm comfortable helping with homework, helping with meal preparation, cooking, housework, playing games, watching cartoons and age appropriate movies, doing crafts, playing outside and I love reading to and helping younger children learn how to read. I'm currently a college student studying film and television writing/producing. As a producer, I'm an extremely proactive and assertive set manager. Practically acting as a nanny and babysitting 150 college aged students every day. However, I'm leaving the position and I'm looking to replace it with another great job. I have a lot of experience with care giving and childcare. Including weekly babysitting a toddler girl with down syndrome for four years, caring for my sister with Cystic Fibrosis and babysitting many other young children. I've worked two summers as an RA for Columbia College's High School Summer Institute, a summer program for high school students. During this time, I cared for them in the Residence Halls and organized their daily events. Growing up, I was always responsible for helping my younger sister with all of her homework. When she turned 11 years old, we started homeschooling her and I was in charge of helping her with her lessons, especially English, reading and social studies. I've helped my younger cousins and tutored them in reading and how to properly write a paper. To this day, my younger sister calls me when she needs help with a project that she's struggling with. I help friends at my age with writing papers and understanding how to properly study and conceptualize their reading. I love to learn and to teach.
