Hi There! My name is Kelsey and I would love to be considered for your babysitting position. A little bit about myself, I am 20 years old and attend school in Chicago at DePaul University but spend my summers at home in Minneapolis. I am majoring in relational communications with a minor in child psychology in hopes of becoming a school psychologist working in an elementary or middle school setting. I have numerous years of experience working with children in many different settings. I first began nannying in the summers when I was 15 for a family with three children ages one through six. This job taught me how to become a great multitasker as well as engaging children in numerous activities. My second childcare job was working at a YMCA daycare center for two years. Here I watched between three and thirty children at one time. While working at Read more the YMCA I took multiple courses on CPR, shaken baby syndrome, as well as sudden infant death syndrome. Finally, the past two years I have been nannying for a family with one child who is now going to be spending her summers at sleep-away camp. While working for this amazing family I perfected my time management skills since the child was involved in many day camps and sports. I also worked with her on basic reading, writing, and math skills. Finally, on the side I babysit a baby boy whom I absolutely adore! While I live in Chicago during the school year I work as a part-time office assistant where I tend to the daily needs of my supervisor. I am used to a fast paced work environment and it is something I thrive on. I love being around high-energy people who value and active lifestyle. On weekends I babysit whenever needed so I never go too long without participating in childcare. Furthermore, every Sunday I volunteer at my local no-kill animal shelter. I love all animals but am not able to have pets at my apartment, therefore I get my weekly "fix" at the shelter. I am fun, energetic, and genuinely love being around children!
