Laima R.

When our son was born we were desperate because his first nanny had been a train wreck. When we met Laima we were very hopeful but cautious. As it turns out she was the best thing that could have happened to us. Our son was very sick for the first year of his life and as we went through a roller coaster of emotions, health issues and hospital visits Laima was there throughout. She was reliable and caring and could not have done a better job. When it came time for our son to work with therapists she was there more than we were for all of his appointments. I am happy to say that he is doing so much better now and I believe a large part of that has to do with the countless hours Laima has spent with him. If we had not ended up moving north I know she would still be with us today.

We met Laima through SitterCity in the Fall of 2013. She started taking care of our son, Griffin when he was 3 months old. Over the last 8 months, he has grown to be a well adjusted, happy, easy going boy. Given that Laima spends 50-55 hours a week with him, we have her to thank for the adorable little boy he has become. Laima is very committed to the best care and development for Griffin - adhering to a sleep chedule, preparing his food, reading, playing, outdoor play, music class and bathing. We had Griffin working with a physical therapist for a few months and Laima was diligent about the weekly "homework" the pt assigned. Laima was extremely reliable and flexible. She is a kind, gentle soul and very easy to work with. We are sorry to have to lose her due to our transition to the suburbs. Snatch her up quick!

Laima has been a back up babysitter for us on several occasions during the summer of 2011. She has done short several hour stints to full 10-12 hour days. She is punctional, dependable, loving, capable of creating engaging activities and very good with children. The first time she babysat for us, I came home to find a very happy toddler who had made a full-on pirate ship out of the construction materials we had at home. Very impressive! She also did small house hold chores while my son was sleeping which was very helpful. Laima is one of the bestcaregivers I have come across in the last four years!

Laima has been working with us for 2 years, looking after our now 3 year old daughter. She has been absolutely fantastic with my daughter, very engaged, loving, caring, playful and clearly a natural with children. I have frequently heard from other mothers/teachers at her playgroup and music school how nice she is and how great she is with my daughter- I think this is the best reference one can have. In addition to being a wonderful caregiver, she is also very professional in the workplace, goes above and beyond what is asked of her (ie. cleaning up during nap time) and has shown flexibility when required for extra hours. I would highly recommend her for any position.
