Rita’s Bio

Hello, thank you for looking at my profile! First off you must know that I love babies and kids so, so much! I love to be with children....playing with them, telling them stories, teaching them things and just listening to them talk. I graduated as Fine Arts Major from Edgewood College in Madison WI. I love to do art projects and make up games. I am the second oldest in a family of five with younger twin brothers. My previous employers said I was their children's favorite nanny! because of my willingness to be silly and my active imagination. I'm a very responsible and diligent person. The children are my #1 priority, their safety as well as their happiness! I was born and partially raised in Guatemala, so I am fluent in Spanish but English is my first language. I have 7 years of experience and expertise in nannying in Chicago!!

Reference for Rita

I can’t say enough good things about Rita. She has been a wonderful addition to our lives, and has become an honorary family member, loved and cherished by all of us. Rita is a rare find, truly a great nanny. She is very dedicated to her role, and takes great pride in being a devoted and attentive caregiver. She has been with us for ~2 years, and has proven herself at every turn. She is warm and loving, we feel like she’s family. Our daughter loves her. Rita always focuses her full attention on Zoe, and plays with her with incredible inventiveness and patience. Rita is a highly experienced nanny, and it shows in many ways. As Rita came to know Zoe, she skillfully established a daily routine that fits her temperament. Under Rita’s gentle instruction Zoe has become a delightful toddler. Rita takes Zoe out for fun activities every day. She has an endless trove of songs, little games, dances, and stories that keep Zoe engaged and calm, even when they’ve had to stay indoors a lot. Rita has a quiet calmness about her, but also goofs around with Zoe, and makes her laugh. Friends and strangers have remarked how amazing Rita is with Zoe. Rita is an intelligent sensitive individual, who’s independent and strong. She has impeccable integrity, is very responsible, and attentive to details. She “thinks big”: If she sees something that needs doing, she’ll do it right away. From sunscreen to fresh sheets, everything quietly gets done. Rita is dependable, never missed a day, and follows through on things. I always joke that I don’t know what we’d do without her: we get home from work, to find Zoe happy, fed and clean, the house is tidy and inviting, and the atmosphere is pleasant. Most importantly, Rita deeply cares about Zoe, is invested in her well-being, and is highly motivated to help Zoe thrive and learn about her environment. Anyone would be very lucky to have Rita! If this recommendation makes it sound as though she is the perfect nanny, it’s because it’s true!

Our amazing nanny Rita!

Rita has been our full-time nanny for almost two years, and she has been a blessing to our family. We have two daughters, a 3 year-old and a 22-month old, and Rita's patient and nurturing nature have been a perfect fit. She is calm, consistent, sweet, and absolutely adored by the girls.

It is clear that Rita's passion is to work with children; to make sure they build confidence, develop new skills, and thrive in a daily routine that gives them a sense of security and consistency. She does a great job helping them learn new things and often comes up with creative craft projects. In her care, our girls have developed good habits and manners, and Rita is always on the look out for fun and enriching extracurricular activities that they would enjoy. She pays close attention to developmental needs and milestones and will often do research outside of her work hours to bring new ideas to our regular feedback and childcare discussions. Most importantly, Rita makes our girls feel loved, valued, and safe while they are in her care. She places the highest priority on her care for our girls and I regularly hear from friends, teachers, and other caregivers about how great she is at her job.

If you have the opportunity to interview Rita, hire her now. She has made an indelible impact on our girls' lives and we will always be so appreciative of her time with our family.
