Rita S.

Rita has been our full-time nanny for almost two years, and she has been a blessing to our family. We have two daughters, a 3 year-old and a 22-month old, and Rita's patient and nurturing nature have been a perfect fit. She is calm, consistent, sweet, and absolutely adored by the girls. It is clear that Rita's passion is to work with children; to make sure they build confidence, develop new skills, and thrive in a daily routine that gives them a sense of security and consistency. She does a great job helping them learn new things and often comes up with creative craft projects. In her care, our girls have developed good habits and manners, and Rita is always on the look out for fun and enriching extracurricular activities that they would enjoy. She pays close attention to developmental needs and milestones and will often do research outside of her work hours to bring new ideas to our regular feedback and childcare discussions. Most importantly, Rita makes our girls feel loved, valued, and safe while they are in her care. She places the highest priority on her care for our girls and I regularly hear from friends, teachers, and other caregivers about how great she is at her job. If you have the opportunity to interview Rita, hire her now. She has made an indelible impact on our girls' lives and we will always be so appreciative of her time with our family.

I can’t say enough good things about Rita. She has been a wonderful addition to our lives, and has become an honorary family member, loved and cherished by all of us. Rita has a quiet calmness about her, but also goofs around with Zoe, and makes her laugh. Friends and strangers have remarked how amazing Rita is with Zoe. Rita is an intelligent sensitive individual, who’s independent and strong. She has impeccable integrity, is very responsible, and attentive to details. She “thinks big”: If she sees something that needs doing, she’ll do it right away. From sunscreen to fresh sheets, everything quietly gets done. Rita is dependable, never missed a day, and follows through on things. I always joke that I don’t know what we’d do without her: we get home from work, to find Zoe happy, fed and clean, the house is tidy and inviting, and the atmosphere is pleasant. Most importantly, Rita deeply cares about Zoe, is invested in her well-being, and is highly motivated to help Zoe thrive and learn about her environment. Anyone would be very lucky to have Rita! Rita has been taking care of my daughter Riley since September of 2009. Upon my return to work following maternity leave, I was terribly nervous about finding the right person to take of Riley. Riley immediately responded to Rita's caring nature and it was a great relief to know my little girl was in such good hands. Riley is currently 16 months old and Rita has nurtured her through numerous developmental changes, especially teething and walking. Rita has also been an excellent teacher, encouraging Riley's vocabulary development with stories and songs. Rita makes sure Riley's day is filled with fun learning activities in a positive and caring atmosphere. My husband and I see the outstanding results of Rita's dedication everyday. Riley will begin early preschool in the fall so we will no longer need a nanny, but we will definitely miss Rita!!
