I am a freshman Elementary Education major at Olivet Nazarene University who has a passion for kids and caring for them. I have loved kids from the time I was one myself and have always felt called to teach kids. It brings me the greatest joy to work with kids and hear their laughter and see them grow. As for my experience, I have worked in the children's ministry at my church since 6th grade with kids from grades 1 to 5. I have also worked up at my church's summer camp as a leader of a cabin of girls for the 4th and 5th grade camp almost every summer since 8th grade. I have also had a steady babysitting job for two precious girls for the last 4 or 5 years. The summer before my junior year I also nannyed two boys for a whole month while their mom Read more worked during the week. It was such a cool experience because I got to know these kids more fully than I had been able to with the kids in my past babysitting jobs. I am hopeful that I will be able to get that opportunity again this summer! I am also CPR certified.
