Hi, My name is Candice Harris and I have been working with children ranging from infancy to 6 years old for a little over 3 and a half years now. I am 23 years old, and I have most of my experience working as a professional nanny (2.5 years) for a single father and his 2 children, one boy and one girl. His son was a toddler (3 years old) and his daughter was an infant (about 4 months) when I was hired by the family. Here, I worked full-time and attended college part-time, and as of now, I have a Bachelor's degree in biology, minoring in chemistry. As a nanny, I believe in exercising children's creativity and expanding their knowledge on a regular basis. For fun and creativity, I like to incorporate arts and crafts into the children's routine multiple days throughout the week. I also enjoy taking the children for walks to get some fresh air and occasionally attending parks! To expand the children's knowledge, I read children's books to all ages, and if possible, ask the children fun questions about the book. Some of my other duties as a nanny for this family included cooking (taking detailed instructions from the dad), driving the children to and from destinations, daily nap time for the children, completing laundry and household chores. I also do tummy time, flash cards, colors and shapes, outings, and play dates. I take safety extremely seriously and am trained in first and CPR and have lots of experience in these areas as I was a lifeguard for 4 years.
