My name is Vito, I've spent the past 4 years working at a before and after school childcare program for the Arlington Heights park district. While there I began as a simple activity leader but quickly moved up to assistant site director and eventually was in charge of my own site as the site director. Responsibilities often included management of 80 plus kids a day, manage attendance of participants, communicate daily with both children and parents, teach and test new staff on rules, regulations, and responsibilities, enforce rules and maintain orderly behavior among children, prepare snack time and daily activities ranging from various sports and games to arts and crafts, maintain consistent schedule of all daily activities for children to follow, etc. During my time there I really learned to love working with children, they always are so curious to learn and look to have fun in a way many Read more adults forget. I enjoy being a dependable role model that children feel they can come to for help in any situation.
