I have been older brother for 14 years of my life. My parents often left me in charge of my younger sister, and sometimes had me do simple chores involving a baby. I also was apart of my church nursery program, I would take care of children aging between 0-8. Along with that, during my high school career, I was a leader for a group of kids from ages 8-12 every friday night. They would come from the community of Elmwood park to my church, and I would be in charge of them. I made sure they were behaving, and participating in the games we had planned for them. Lastly, this past summer I worked at a christian camp called Silver Birch Ranch. My position was staff director, this mean that I was in charge of the high school aged kids that came up to the camp to serve. The Read more kids would serve during the day and be with me at night. I made sure they were doing their work, and I would enforce the rules of the camp. The group of volunteers 15-20 a week, would live with me in a cabin. I would lead devotions with the kids at night. I would halt any conflict in the cabin and answered any of the questions the volunteers had for me. I have plenty of experience being a role model.
