Hi! I am a recent college graduate living in the western suburb of Elmhurst and have two years experience nannying part time, full time and babysitting. I started off babysitting on weeknights and weekends for "date nights" and throughout that time those families started to use me during the day. I rotated babysitting between 4-7 families a week most weeks. As I became close with the parents and children I started to get referred to parents looking for part time or full time child care. The first family I nannied for was part time three days a week for two boys ages 3 years old and 1 years old. I was with them for a year. My duties were to prepare breakfast, lunch and snacks, play time, learning/education time, nap time and everything in between. I took the boys to the library two days a week for group reading time Read more and would find fun things to do around town to keep them busy and their minds always growing! Working with a one year old is always up beat and I had a chance to work with him on reaching some of his lifetime milestones. I helped him learn to walk and eat solid foods. The second family I nannied for part time and started when the child was only three months old. There was never a dull moment with this baby as he was so little when I started and I was able to help and experience some milestones while caring for him. I still babysit for families who don't need nannies and able to juggle several families a week with ease. I am a great multi-tasker and very organized. I feel comfortable doing light house work if needed, like dishes, laundry etc. I try to help out families as much as possible and enjoy doing extra work to make the day easier. I don't have any official training or certifications but taking care of people is part of my DNA. I love doing things for other people to make them happy and taking care of children has always been a rewarding job for me.
