As an educator, I believe that everyone can learn and master any skill. Students, by their very nature, are inquisitive. My job is to create and environment that encourages my student's willingness and desire to learn. I also believe that education is about discovering ways of teaching to our student's individual learning styles.I currently work for a school in Hype Park, The Cambridge School of Chicago, where I teach Cultural Arts and Spanish. Much of my work involves the teaching of the history of other cultures through its various art forms. I teach Preschool through 8th grade. I also tutor for an organization called Discover Music Discover Life, where I tutor basic concepts in reading, writing, and math using the fundamental elements of music. My students for tutoring also range from Kindergarten through 8th grade. I have completed my undergraduate studies with a BA in Liberal Arts & Science from Read more UIC. I went on to pursue a Master's Degree in Teaching from National-Louis University. I am also in the process of attaining my Type 04 certification. I have four children of my own. I understand the many differently components that may lead to a full and happy childhood . My methods of teaching very much involve delivering information in many different ways (auditorily, visually,kinesthetically etc.) until my student feels confident that they have mastered the skill.
