I am a high energy, outgoing, health and nutrition conscious (non-smoking of course), creative, caring individual, CPR and First Aid certified. Adore children: playing with them, teaching them, watching them develop, and seeing the world through their eyes. My education centered on sociology, psych and early childhood development. Between 1987 and 2011 I was an Evanston based Realtor. Prior to that I was in public accounting. I enjoy being out of doors in all types of weather, so your children would get plenty of fresh air time with me. Distance walking is my exercise of choice and I log several hundred miles a year. I also take pleasure reading, doing art projects, playing age appropriate games and going to child friendly destination, e.g. parks, zoos, museums with my charges. Am proficient with Mac and PC computers, texting and other smart phone apps assuring communication with parents. I certainly realize that your first and most important concern is the care and nurturing of your kids, but also happy to pitch in with household organization, cooking, kitchen clean-up, laundry, errands, pet care, bill paying, etc. My nanny/house manager experience in the five plus years includes children from infancy through elementary school in Evanston, Wilmette, Glencoe and Northfield. I also have a grown son for whom I was principal caregiver, nurse, nutritionist, wound healer, cuddle provider and all the other roles we parents so lovingly assume.
