My name is Amanda. I will be finishing my final classes toward my B.A. at The Illinois Institute of Art-Chicago this coming winter 2016. I am a very outgoing and caring individual. Hard work is important to me, especially while making it something one loves to do. I am the youngest of four, but caring for children has always been a passion for me. I have many experiences with child care starting from 10 years ago. I have a strong passion for helping a child grow and learn while watching over them coming from a structured facitlity, like the daycare listed below, instead of simply just watching . I love having fun with the children and interacting with them. I am very mindful and appreciative of a structured plan by parents.  PAST EXPERIENCE: - I was a nursery attendant for 5 years caring for multiple children at once ranging from newborns Read more to 12 year olds. - I was also an assistant teacher at a daycare facitility for a year teaching toddlers and preschoolers. I prepared snacks, woke up & put down children from naps, planned and organized playful/ learning activities at both of these facilities. Interaction and feedback to parents was key to me showing how much progress their child was making. I helped potty train a handful of these children while changing diapers for most of the others. - I was a camp counselor at a camp that was away from home in another state for most of these children. My specific grade duty was 6th graders. I dormed and watched over about 40 young girls along side three other counselors. These girl's safety was my responsibility. Activities were planned that I accompanied them to.  I spent all daylight hours and made sure they were in bed by certain hours everyday for a week.  - I have also babysat/nannied for several families on their own for children ranging from two weeks old to 12 year olds. My duties included interacting with the children while also completing their routine tasks of bathing, feeding, preparing breakfast, lunch, & dinner, and putting to bed.  If you interested in me meeting your family please contact me, I have no problem providing a list of references but would feel more comfortable listing them to only interested families who contact me first.
