I am a 28 year old graduate student studying Occupational Therapy. I really enjoy spending time with children and using the fun we have to also teach my charges about the world around them. Whether we are spending a chilly night inside building a fort or spending a Saturday outside exploring the backyard or a nearby park, your child(ren) and I will have a great time while you're out and about. I have experience working in a child development center, as well as babysitting all ages in individual homes. I have worked at summer camps for 10 years. I'm also very experienced caring for children and young adults with special needs and can answer any questions you may have about my experience with your child's disability or age level. I am also CPR/First Aid (including infants) certified. I am currently looking for evening and weekend babysitting. I am particularly interested Read more in finding a family with a child with special needs who is looking for a sitter on a regular basis who can help reinforce therapy/behavior plans that are in place. I am also interested in working with teens/adults with disabilities and working on social skills, vocational skills or independent living skills. I do have extensive experience working with teens and young (and not-so-young!) adults with disabilities on job skills, independent living skill and job coaching. I currently live in the Central West End and use my bike and the metro to get around. I am not afraid of a commute, but would prefer to keep working in the nearby area!
