Hi! My name is Britton and I am looking to help out with some babysitting over my winter break (December-January). I am currently earning my masters degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. However, for my winter break I am back at home in Libertyville, Il. I enjoy babysitting for many reasons. First off, as a future speech-language pathologist, I have had lots of interaction and clinic time playing and engaging with children of all ages. I love watching the minds of young ones explore and learn. I am quick on my toes for creating games and ways to keep young ones engaged. Also, I have been babysitting since I was in middle school. For summers I would work full-time and be able to create strong connections and trust from the families and kids I spent time with. I also have worked closely with a Read more child who had autism. Lastly, I feel it is important to be a strong and supportive role model and mentor to any child I interact with. I remember growing up how much I looked up to my babysitters and how they made such a positive impact on my childhood. Being patient, staying upbeat, and creating a comfortable environment are the three most important attributes I believe carry when being around children.
