My name is Jenifer; I am 32 years old. I have always loved being around children. I love teaching children new things and being able to witness their growth and excitement! I also love animals. I have a seven year old Boxer, Roscoe, who I adore. I also love to cook, whether it’s for my family of four or a party of fifty. I’m a very active person and enjoy being outdoors. As you will find in the experience section of my profile, for two years I cared for four energetic boys. They participated in a variety of activities, all of which I enjoyed attending and joining in the fun! Within this role, I created an exciting, positive, and safe place for them to learn and collaborate. Their parents and I worked in partnership consistently, focusing on communication and transparency between myself and their family. We worked together as a Read more team in order to understand support their children in the best way possible. We set and achieved measurable goals. One of the main goals this family had included growth within Math, Science, and Reading for all four children. Through a comprehensive plan, I was able to pull resources from prior experience and knowledge of new national learning standards. Specifically, we worked on inquiry and creative problem solving within Science, and creative exploration in reading and writing. We enjoyed working together to achieve new heights. Prior to this, I cared for a 3 year old boy and a 5 year old girl, who also enjoyed multiple activities. I consistently and reliably took them to and from their multiple programs, and actively engaged in activities that enriched their education. We also made sure to include outdoor education and fun into our daily routine. Waterfall Glenn was one our favorite places to explore, along with the Nature Center!
