I recently graduated from the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse and earned my Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood-Middle Childhood Education (certified birth-5th grade). Throughout the duration of my program I gained invaluable childcare and classroom experiences working with children of a wide range of ages from toddlers through fourth graders. While obtaining my degree, I worked for the YMCA as an After School Program Teacher as well as a Summer Camp Leader with kindergarteners-sixth graders. My youth-related job experiences and my teaching background make me comfortable, experienced, and knowledgable with working with a variety of children. While we did not hire Angela for our particular opening, it was NOT because of any shortcomings of Angela. Angela made it through several cuts in our process and was one of two finalists whom we invited to our home for an in-depth face to face interview. She is clearly a smart, dedicated woman who cares deeply about children, and will make a wonderful nanny. So, you may wonder why we chose not to hire Angela, and there aren't any "magic" answers . . . in car terms, we happened to be lucky enough to choose between a BMW and a Mercedes, and we chose to go with the BMW; one isn't "better" than the other, they're just different (and both great).
