Hi my name is Ayanna Mnyofu. I’m from Chicago, IL. My experience being a nanny/baby sitter started when I was 15. I baby sat for neighbors and local families in my neighborhood for extra money. At first I’ll admit it was just for a little spending money, but on my very first day babysitting I completely fell in love. The first family I baby sat for had two beautiful daughters. They were 2 and 4 and were incredibly smart and sweet. We did everything together from reading stories to playing games. I realized that I would eventually want to learn more about children, and I plan to study child development in the future. More recently, I baby sat for a family in Park Forest, IL. They have a 3 month year old son and a 11 year old daughter. Samira and Zack (the parents) were looking for someone to watch Read more the children from 2pm to 8-9pm Monday through Friday and also drive the daughter to school in the morning which I did. I had a great experience with them and I baby sat for them for a few months until eventually their schedules changed and they no longer needed a baby sitter. I learned so much and gained a lot more experience during those months. In high school I also volunteered for the children’s hunger fund which is an organization that helps to feed starving children all over the world. It was a fulfilling experience and honestly I just love to jump at any chance to work with children or help children.
