Hello, My name is Penny. I am an aide at an elementary school helping children with learning disabilities. I am passionate about helping young children to have fun and learn while exploring the world around them with age-appropriate activities. I have three years of college credits in early childhood education and experience in daycare centers as a DCFS qualified teacher. My experience Includes planning and implementing activities with infant through 12-year-old children including a summer camp for school-age children. As a nanny for an infant, I created daily activities depending on the child's developmental level and her interests. We began with tummy time/floor activities and I made a busy book for learning fun. As she grew older we enjoyed arts and crafts and cooking together. As an experienced caregiver and mom, I know the importance of organization, cleaning, cooking and most importantly keeping the children safe while having fun!
