I started out my professional career as a floater at a daycare in Oak Park. I worked with children of all ages, being pulled from the baby room to help out with the two to five year olds. I also helped out with the toddlers since they were brought into the baby room at the end of the day. I have always loved working with children but had to put that on pause when I left to school to pursue a "normal" career. When I came back the summer after my first year in college I figured out that just wasn't for me and I got back into contact with a family that used the daycare I had worked for. They hired me on as a tutor/babysitter three nights a week. Eventually that evolved to becoming their nanny on school breaks and holidays. I enjoyed my time with them very Read more much and grew so much during that time. I eventually had to part ways with the family when I found out they were moving to another state and look into other jobs. It has been a little over a year since I have worked with this family and I find that I miss being a caregiver. I am now looking into getting a full time nanny position. I have previously been First Aid and CPR certified and am willing to get that up to date. I am willing to research and become familiar with milestones each age group should reach. I am a crafty person and enjoy putting together projects for me and the children to do, and I firmly believe that a child should not be raised in front of a screen and love to go out on mini adventures whenever appropriate. I am looking to become a part of a family and grow with them.
