I am currently a freshmen at Illinois State University pursuing an elementary education degree. At ISU i am very active in Best Buddies. Best Buddies is an organization where we get paired up with someone who has a mental or physical disability and hang out with them atleast twice a month. I am also am in STLF (Students Today Leaders Forever). The last thing I did with them was I went on a spring break Pay it Forward tour. This is where we spend our spring break driving through the country and doing service project along the way in different cities. In high school I did nanny for two children. I picked them up from school and watched them till their parents got home and I loved it. I also student aided for a fifth grade class for 2-3 hours everyday. Here I did one on one help, group work, Read more as well as teaching the class as a whole. I have also done various babysitting jobs on the side. Children have always been my passion. I enjoy doing projects with them, reading to them, taking them to the park, and much much more! I have also completed the Red Cross Babysitting certification class.
