I'm compassionate, creative, flexible with times, responsible, and fun to work with. I've had experience with special needs, worked a time as a independent contractor books sourcing and scanning, and have also worked for a single mother for her 4 year old toddler. I've volunteered at a local church as a Sunday school teacher and have also had extensive experience in taking care of children of all ages there. I love working for families and once I find a family that I can feel a part of and that I can love and respect, I plan on staying for the long haul as a dedicated and loyal worker. For any on-site driving I charge a mileage reimbursement fee as I have experience in the proper compensation as an independent contractor using my own vehicle. This is 54.5 cents per mile as of 2018 by the IRS. There are two things Read more that I've noticed to be some things of concern and would love to clarify to make sure we all are happy and have a great time together. I've never traveled with a family before but am open to traveling with families as long as they adhere to a schedule or rough plan (which I am flexible if it changes) where I am given appropriate down time and am compensated properly for the time worked. Both of these things are non-negotiable and must be talked out with me ahead of time. Just please parents realize I am there to work and look after your children, don't expect me to pay for my ticket, additional required fees, or just accept the opportunity to travel free of charge with you as proper compensation. I make sure you and your kids have the best experience possible on your time away as a family. I highly value my work, and that is why I put so much effort in what I love to do. For traveling, my job starts as soon as I step foot through your door so driving time, airplane time, train time, whatever the transportation I expect to be accompanying on the job, I should be paid for that time. I also do not mix housekeeping in my services. I only pick up after the children, and pick up messes done on the time that I am there. This includes toys, putting dishes in the sink, tidying up their eating area, etc. Washing the dishes, vacuuming, doing laundry, etc. are all extra jobs. I always like doing nice things for families and love expressing my gratitude in different ways or small details. Asking, expecting, or requiring any of these things of me no matter how small... is when it stops being an expression for me and becomes part of my job.
