My name is Rachel W. and I am very new to the Naperville area! I most recently have decided to discontinue my position in sales and management, which I have dedicated myself for the past 3 years, to chase my dream once again of becoming an art teacher. I've always had a knack for helping children break out of their shell through crafts. I graduated from Northern Illinois University with an art degree. My specialty is portraiture! You could say I am now taking an opportunity to put my foot in the door! However, I am not under qualified in child care. Since I was 13 years old I have been babysitting occasionally for different family members, friends, and family friends. I also volunteered and taught private swim lessons for children between the ages of 2 and 11 for 2 1/2 years. I was also an instructor for children in Read more the ESL program and special education. I have also studied the Spanish language for 7 years. I can not say I am officially fluent just yet but I do attempt to make myself more involved in conversations on my husband's Hispanic side. So if you are interested in me helping your children learn a bit of a different language, I would be very happy to teach! I also love animals! We have a 7 year old tabby cat named Matt and a 10 month Shepard/hound mix named Penny. They are our little angels. I can say I am very optimistic, energetic, organized, and very positive!
