I am currently a nursing at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor. Over the past 3 years, I have had multiple positions that have increased my experience and knowledge in working with children. I previously worked at a tutoring center in which I interacted in both a playful and professional manner with children ranging from preschool to high school. Additionally, I currently work at a day care with children ages 3 and 4. From time to time I have also babysat for families in my neighborhood at home and at school. Recently, I volunteered at a summer camp in Texas that mainly serves children which special needs. This experiences taught me about the resilience and perseverance of children of all ages and abilities. I am pursuing nursing as a major and career for my love of helping others, working with my hands, and the power of medicine.
