I am currently a first year teacher for the Jefferson Parish Public School System. This year, I taught an amazing group of 6th grade students. Although my first year of teaching was challenging at times, I excelled in my position and on average, produced reading and social studies scores that were 20% above the district average. I am looking for a great family to work with during my summer off. Apart from my professional career, I have experience with all different age groups of children. I've been a leader at many different camps and retreats, and can relate to being around toddlers to teenagers. I also attended Mother Mcauley High School on the south side of Chicago, and have experience in various types of service. I have been babysitting since I was in sixth grade, but I also have tutored during high school and "dog sat" while relatives, neighbors, and Read more friends went away. I'm a versatile person and can handle just about anything, being that I have babysat challenging jr high students to energetic toddlers. I also own a rambunctious black lab and have been around children my whole life, I have no problem babysitting and dog watching at the same time. I enjoy being active with the kids I babysit and forming bonds with the children so they feel comfortable. Because I come from a family of 6,  I enjoy being around large families and love the lifestyle that comes with.  I like taking an active role in the babysitting but am flexible enough to work with any type of schedule, circumstances, or setting. Your rules are my rules when it comes to any type of work, I mean it's your house so why would I change them?  You can count on me for whatever you need to be done. I promise my great attitude, personality, and hard working ethic will shine through!
