Hello! My name is Ashlyn and I am a nanny/babysitter looking for a new family to care for as my current family is not in need of a care provider during the school year. I just graduated magna cum laude from Illinois State University with my Bachelor of Science in Speech-Language Pathology and minor in Early Childhood Education. In this program, I spent most of my time providing therapy to children in the preschool, elementary and middle schools on campus. While in high school, I worked with a 3-year old boy and an 8-year old girl every day after school for about 3 years. When I worked for them, we spent our time doing activities, games, and helping the 8-year old with her homework. This past summer, I was a nanny for 2 children whom I also helped with math and reading, played games, did crafts, prepared meals, did housekeeping Read more and laundry, drove them to activities, and took them to the park/zoo/pool/etc. in our leisure time. I started my work as a Personal Care Assistant for two inspirational individuals with severe autism when they were adolescents and continue to care for them now as adults. Helping others is my passion, which is why I chose to pursue a career where I can best channel my kindhearted and patient qualities.
