My story begins with my mom. She had a daycare out of our home since I was 8. We lived across the street from an Elementary school, and Junior High school. The teachers would drop their babies/toddlers off every morning and pick them up at the end of the day. That is when I began learning how to take care of kids. I loved helping my mom. I changed diapers, made bottles, cleaned bottles, fed, bathed, and put babies to sleep, etc. As I got older into my teenage years, I began to babysit at homes for parents wanting a night out or a whole day. Then I was asked through reference to nanny for a family of three kids. One was new born, 4, and 6. I immediately said yes. I cooked at least one to two meals a day and cleaned the home while kids napped. I read Read more books to them, did flash cards with animals/alphabet, watched movies chosen by the parents, played with toys, did hair, bathed and bed time. We played at the playground, and did fun outdoor activities during warmer months. I drove them to play dates, day care and school. I absolutely loved those kids like they were my own. I watched them until the eldest was too old to have a nanny or sitter. It was such wonderful experience and I am hoping to have it again with a new family
