I am a college graduate alumni from the University of Illinois-Chicago (bachelor's degree in elementary education) and from Champaign (master's degree in reading). Teaching jobs were few and far between 40 years ago so my first job brought me into the world of accounting and payroll. All of my positions were long standing from 5 years to 17 years. Unfortunately, I have been laid off from my past 3 positions due to the economy and downsizing. I decided to seek other job markets and venture back into my love of children and caregiving which I have loved doing for the past 4 years. I am currently working for 1 family on a part time basis. I work 3 days per week for a family with 3 children ranging in age from 2 years old to 8 years old for 9 hours per day. I was also a dog walker for Read more a family in my neighborhood for a few months but this job was interrupted due to my husband's job shift change. I am hoping to continue taking care of children for as long as there are families who are willing to trust me with their loved ones. Nurturing others has always made me the happiest!
