Hello my name is Monica. A little about my Education: I graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago in May 2018. I studied Psychology my first two years but transferred into the College of Education where I studied Human Development and Learning with the specialization of Early Childhood Education. A little about my experience: I have been a nanny for 7 years and counting now. I nannied for 2 amazing families. The first family I nannied included a 5 year old and 18 month old twins when starting. After close to 4 years, girls started full time school which is when I left. The most recent family includes 4.5 year old and 6.5 year old (18 months and 4 years when starting). Kids are growing into full time school now as well. I am a strong supporter of Developmentally Appropriate Practice, social-emotional development, and purposeful play. The greatest change in my life is that I am now a mom as well to a beautiful 10 month old baby boy. He would be traveling with me to work, so comfort with that idea is essential.
