I volunteered with children ages two and a half to six years old at The Barbereux School, Evanston, IL from 2001 to 2009. From 2003 to 2007 I worked as a teacher’s aid with the Worlds of Wisdom and Wonder Gifted Program, Glenview, IL. The summer of 2009 I worked as a photography instructor with a community development program in Hyde Park, IL, called The Zen Kids. In 2010 I joined the Maine-Niles Association of Special Recreation (M-NASR) as an inclusion companion. I assisted children with severe disabilities (physical, developmental and psychological) in their daily functioning. My main responsibilities were to help children with basic functioning (bathroom, eating, walking), behavioral management, and social interactions. I communicated daily with the children’s parent(s)/guardian regarding their child’s challenges and achievements. The summer of 2011 I was hired by the Skokie Park District to be the Director of a program for preteens called Camp Read more Art! I was directly responsible for maintaining a safe environment for my staff and our art students. We went swimming four times a week and took bimonthly field trips. I babysat for children ages 0 to 15 years old throughout all of my experience. I am CPR/First Aid Certified.
