I'm a creative and passionate pre-service teacher looking to work with children. At Illinois State University, I have a 4.0 GPA and participate in the Vidette as a reporter. I am also in the Illinois Association for Teachers of English as a general member. I'm studying English Language Arts Education for grades 5-12 and K-12 Art Education. I will graduate in the Spring of 2022. I have my Associate's Degree from the College of Lake County and graduated with a 4.0 and as a member of Phi Theta Kappa--the oldest academic honors society for community college students. At CLC, I was the editor in chief of their newspaper, The Chronicle, and a member of the Future Educator's Club. This fall, I was a volunteer art teacher at the Juvenile Detention Center in McLean County. I came up with creative ideas, crafts, and projects that worked to inspire a diverse set Read more of minds. I was also an assistant coach for the Wauconda Middle School Girls' Basketball team in 2018. At Illinois State University, I have over 35 clinical hours working with students who have Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Diagnosed Behavioral Issues, and I have extensive experience working with students whose first language is not English. At the College of Lake County, I worked at the Prarie Crossing Charter School as an aide during the Fall of 2018. I also volunteer at Robert Crown Elementary School and help my mom, a 2nd grade teacher, in her classroom as an aide. I read to students, work with them through activities, help with schoolwork, and overall, enjoy their youthful and energetic company. I love to cook, bake, and do crafts with children. I started babysitting at just 13, and haven't stopped since. I hope to find a place in your family as a trustworthy, fun, and productive nanny.
