My name is Gabriela Barajas and I live in Yorkville, IL. I am 22 years old and also speak Spanish fluently. I was attending college at a private liberal arts school in Virginia but am now taking a break to save more money for school in the future. While I have two younger siblings of my own that I babysit from time to time (and let me tell you, you learn great tips and tricks about kids that way), I have numerous experience working with children including teaching toddlers Spanish through full immersion, teaching older children (age 12-13) religious education and being a group leader for up to 40 children during a week long kids camp in Joliet, IL every summer. I also am an assistant for a young ladies formation group and have helped organize, plan, and coach the girls' ages 9-17. This past summer I went through a Read more program to certify me to teach babies and toddlers how to begin to recognize music around them through hands on interaction with instruments and toys as well as having their parents participate close by. I would say that experience has played a large role in my training but my love for interacting with children has stretched me to reach out and learn about them in all their adorable and fascinating ways. :) P.S. Cooking and cleaning are also an option!
