I am a mom of two (a 4 year old boy and 4.5 month old girl). While I do not have specific nanny experience, I'd like to think being a mom has prepared me pretty well for the job. I love to watch children learn by discovering the world around them. I love going to the park, nature centers, libraries, and other fun yet educational outings. Letting children learn through experience is so fun and rewarding for caregiver and child alike. I have a bachelors degree in special education, and some master's level courses for Applied Behavior Analysis. I have worked at an autism center for the past 7 years, and have extensive experience caring for children with special needs especially those on the spectrum. From 2010-2011, I worked at an educational childcare center with ages 3-6. I also spent a year as an instructional assistant working with 6th graders.
