Meet Teresa

I have a passion for working with children, and I genuinely have enjoyed working in that field. The work I have done over the majority of my life has really helped me set my eyes towards helping students succeed in life. I have been working with children since I was sixteen years old, starting with the children's program at church, and I still work in my church's children's area. At church I have been a Vacation Bible School leader, musical director, elementary worship leader, and I am currently the early education worship leader. At elementary schools I have been a substitute teacher in classrooms and in the IEP program, where I brought children to a separate classroom to do one-on-one work or small group work. In the early education field, I have worked at daycare/preschool combination facilities as lead teachers and I owned my own preschool for a season where Read more I was the director and pre-kindergarten teacher. I often oversee many students from multiple age ranges (preschool, kindergarten-fifth grade, and I have also worked with middle to high school ages like my own children). Working with children in early education and elementary ages, to me, is the most important role in education as it is the building blocks for higher academics. I have my Child Development Associate Certification from Ivy Tech and a Montessori Certification from KHT Montessori.
