At 25, I finally have realized what I want to be "when I grow up". I will begin classes (again for the third time) this upcoming spring semester. It hit me one day that I have to be a counselor one day; a Christ-oriented counselor. Over the past few years, my relationship with God has developed into something I never thought could be possible. It is my calling to help others through mental and emotional struggles that I have personally overcome with the help of Jesus. With that being said, I am tired of the restaurant industry and am currently unhappy with my travelling photography job .I think being a nanny while reaching my future goal is the best option for me. I have a motherly nature to my character and always have ever since I was a young girl. My one and only sibling came along when I was Read more nine years old. He was more like "my baby" than my brother. My mom trusted me with him at a young age and I loved it. I cared for him (and still very much do) as my own. I've had many babysitting gigs as a teenager including non-family members. Kids are awesome. They bring such a breath of fresh air to our "everyday adult lives". The imaginative, worriless, innocent character of a child is what we all miss! It's nice to have that around since we only go forward in life. I believe that kids need to be exposed to physically and mentally stimulating activities. It is so necessary for growth in all areas. A trip to the children's museum, reading books at the local library, or even playing a board game (if they even know what those are nowadays) are examples of interaction with children that are so critical. I can't fathom ever putting my (future) kids in front of a screen for hours in a day, so I dare not do it to anyone else's. In fact, one of my biggest pet peeves is seeing a family in a restaurant where everyone, kids and parents, are distracted by some form of technology. The cherry on top of the sundae is when a kid is wearing headphones...cringeworthy. If you've completed reading this bio, well then, thank you! There's plenty more where this came from.
