Growing up with four younger siblings is what fueled my passion to care for children. At the age of 13 My mother and father dropped the responsibility of watching and taking care of my four younger siblings. I love all children. I have cared for children of all ages, from newborns to teenagers. I have also worked in a hospital as a nurses assistant or what is considered a CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant). At the hospital I did adult care for patients ranging from 18 years old to 98 year old adults. With that being said I have a great background in relation to health care. I am CPR certified, I have been trained how to react to a person having a seizure, basic wound sterilization and care, how to properly assess someones vital signs, how to check someones blood sugar, and other general patient care assessments. I also grew Read more up with a younger sister who has had several health related difficulties since birth. My sister was born with a cleft pallet, a severe heart condition, contracted meningitis in the hospital, and also faced dietary issues. Due to this, I have been trained to provide tracheostomy care, I know how to work and monitor a ventilator, g-button or feeding tube care, and how to feed someone with a feeding tube, how to work and monitor a pulse oximeter machine, how to suction out a trache, and how to place, monitor, and administer telemetry monitors. Beyond all of qualifications I meet in the health field, I genuinely love children. I am looking to provide any and all children with exceptional care, fun activities, lots of attention, and memories that will last a lifetime. I am also able to provide help to any children with homework and studying for tests. I look forward to becoming a major part of your children's life.
