I enjoy being a sitter because I love working with children and helping them feel safe, supported, and understood. I find it very rewarding to build positive relationships with kids and be someone they can trust while also giving parents peace of mind knowing their children are in good hands. I have experience working with children in both educational and early childhood settings. I have worked as a Special Education Instructional Assistant in a high school, where I supported students with academic, behavioral, and daily living needs. I also worked as an early childhood teacher, where I cared for and taught children ages 2–3, supported early learning development, and helped manage daily routines, transitions, and activities. These roles gave me experience working with a wide range of ages and needs in structured environments. I come from a large family and have been caring for children for most of my life. Read more I am the oldest of four siblings, and I also have experience helping care for younger relatives, including being part of a large extended family with many younger children. I started babysitting around the age of 10, initially for family members and later for families outside of my own, which helped me build confidence, responsibility, and strong childcare instincts from a young age. My skills include communication, patience, organization, and the ability to stay calm and responsible in any situation. I am both CPI and CPR trained and have experience using positive behavior support strategies, de-escalation techniques, and maintaining safe, structured environments for children. I also have experience with lesson planning, supervision, and working closely with families and staff to support each child’s development. Outside of work, I enjoy reading, writing, going to the gym, and spending time with my family and animals, which helps me stay balanced and grounded.
