Hi, my name is Jen. I am a fun, energetic young lady looking for a part time or full time job as a nanny. I was born and raised in Indiana but have traveled around the country quite a bit including living in South Florida and California for several years after college experiencing many different cultures and atmospheres. Raised by a Nurse, Godmother to a beautiful little 3yr old, and surrounded by lots of little cousins I have a natural nurturing disposition. I started babysitting around the neighborhood at age 12 and worked through college as a before and after school caregiver through the YMCA. I have experience caring for my parents as well. My father had a massive stroke at 49 and has been in a wheel chair ever since. I am proud to say after years of rehab he now is able to live by himself with just Read more minor help around the house! I have a great education background and lots of real world and work experience. Helping with homework is a breeze for me and if it's a topic I am not the most familiar with I love reading and reeducating myself. I am ALS and CPR certified for infants, children, adults and as I mentioned I was raised by a nurse so I am very familiar with and have experience in first aid and lots of knowledge on what to do in an emergency situation (I have several disaster preparedness kits and first aid kits at home along with in my car). Health and Wellness are very important elements of my life. I have certifications in nutrition, fitness and weight management, and personal wellness coaching. With lots of experience in meal prepping and cooking for both of my parents as well as myself (and my godson and friends) helping the family eat healthy is a passion of mine. Grocery shopping and cooking meals for the children can be both fun and educational. Healthy eating for growing babies and habits early in childhood make for healthy adults! Playing many different sports growing up, I have a lot of knowledge and experience as an athlete. I would be happy to help with practices or after school extracurriculars. After moving many many times over the past decade I have fantastic organizational skills in keeping a neat and minimal living space. Redoing rooms, organizing closets, keeping kids rooms neat are all in my repertoire of talents.
