My name is Julie. I originally grew up in Northwest Indiana and it was here that I started babysitting. Before I went away to college (BA in Sociology & Gender Studies from IU) I sat regularly for two families. One had two boys about 8 and 5. The other family had two girls aged 2 and 6. I love being around kids! I love learning and engage the kids I sit. We are always doing something: walks and bike rides to the park, picnics outside, board games, crafts. Movies once in awhile--mostly before bed. Reading is important to me, so I always find a way to read to kids (not just before bed). I also know and love American Sign Language and can teach your kids--if that's something you're interested in.
