My name is Courtney Ekema, and I have been a nanny for 7 years, and before that I was a babysitter throughout high school. On top of this experience, I am also second oldest of 8 siblings. Basically, my whole life has been about caring for children. I enjoy living an active lifestyle and I encourage the kids I work with to do the same. I love playing, or making up, games, I love sports, and crafts as well. I am also completely comfortable with tutoring younger children (4-10 yrs). I did not attend any university because when it came time for me to go off to college, my mother suddenly died from cancer. I decided to take a break from school and focus on my family and myself. I am CPR and First Aid certified, though I believe a person is supposed to get re-certified ever 5 years, and it's been 7 years since my first training. I am completely willing to get recertified if you need me to. It is always good to refresh. I am a very reliable person, and a hard worker as well. On top of loving for your child(ren), I also enjoy keeping up the cleanliness of your home, plus I have no problem running errands, doing laundry, and doing drop-offs/pick-ups for schooling, or other activities. I see my job as being your helper, your third and fourth arms. I am there to help you with the stressful stuff so that you can be a better parent.
