Hi, my name is Ashton Ettleman, I am currently a student at Kansas State University in Manhattan, Kansas. I am majoring in Elementary Education and am in the final semesters before I graduate. I will be student teaching in the Fall of this year in either the Blue Valley or Shawnee Mission School Districts. I will be moving to the area once classes end this Spring, and am looking for a great summer position working with kids. I have lots of experience working with school-aged kids through high school babysitting jobs and my work with Academic Mentoring through Kansas State Staley School of Leadership. As a mentor, for two years, I worked in many different elementary schools in the Manhattan-Ogden school district working with students in grades Kindergarten, First, and Second. I had the opportunity to work in both the classroom and afterschool programs gaining lots of experience in my Read more field. As an Elementary Education student, I have participated in many teaching practicums within the classroom in the Manhattan and Wamego school districts. Through these, I have gained experience working with students in the Fourth grade. I have also had experience working with children from the ages of 12-18 months as a Part-Time Assistant Teacher through Creche day school. While working for them, I have been certified in CPR and First Aid for both Infant and Adults. I love working with children and would love having the opportunity to work for you!
